Bubble Tea Shop
We had been invited to the opening of the bubble tea shop run by one of our earlier students, Rui Gao. So last Sunday I and my son went and tried their drinks and some desserts.
The drinks were delicious and unique. I got to know these drinks way back in Taiwan when I worked there. If you like the peaceful, friendly atmosphere and fancy a good talk with friends, it is a perfect choice.
A bit of information, if you don’t know what „bubble tea” is. It looks like this:
Bubble tea (also known as pearl milk tea, bubble milk tea, or boba) is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in Tainan and Taichung in the 1980s.
Recipes contain tea of some kind, flavors of milk, and sugar (optional). Toppings, known as „pearls”, such as chewy tapioca balls (also known as pearls or boba), popping boba, fruit jelly, grass jelly, agar jelly, alovera jelly, sago and puddings are often added.
